As they say on their website, the four brothers are committed to family and hockey. The Staal Family Foundation is a way for them to give back to the communities that have supported and encouraged them.
Through their foundation the Staal family works as a team to support children battling cancer so that they can enjoy enriched lives. They raise funds and provide financial support to children's organizations where they live and work. All of the funds raised by the Staal Family Foundation are distributed directly to the local projects they support.

Jordan and his wife, Heather, created the Staal Family Foundation suite to give children battling cancer and their families the opportunity to experience a hockey game in a 12-person, all-inclusive luxury suite. Jordan personally purchases the suite for each Hurricanes home game, and each child receives a Staal Family Foundation t-shirt.

When Eric & Tanya's oldest son was 4, he was asked to draw a big person helping a little person. Skates were added, the paediatric cancer ribbon was incorporated and their logo was made!
